This means that your XviD and .AVI files don't have any trouble playing, but if you try to play an official DivX file it will often fail to recognize it.  Since Sony is officially DivX certified it likely means that MKV and H.264 will be supported through a firmware update, but because Microsoft doesn't officially support DivX, there is nothing to suggest that they would also start to recognize these files. MS supports Divx on the XBOX 360 via the dashboard, right?  So couldn't they update their firmware just as easily as Sony?
